I am the executor of the estate of a dear friend. The estate would like to sell a harp which he possessed for the past 23 years. The prior owner was a Pittsburgh family who possessed if for many years, but the auctioneer would not disclose the name of the family. Here are some specifics:

Neoclassical style upright pedal harp. (Second quarter 19th century)

Maker: Erard 13, Rue du Mail, Paris

Serial # 4762

Birds-eye maple and gilt gessoed.

Height: 70 1/2 "

Condition: Some chipping to gessoed decoration

Location: Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh's East End
